200th Lapghan Presentation at the Keen Age Center in Belvidere on July 10, 2015

On Friday, July 10, 2015, at our bimonthly social gathering, Founder Charlotte Kennedy presented our 200th lapghan to World War II Navy SEABEE Veteran, Lowell Wagner.  The 200th lapghan was constructed from squares crocheted and knitted by most of our volunteers and then constructed into one lapghan by volunteer Sally Paugels.

We also presented a lapghan to Army Chaplain Raymond L. Ayers. Chaplain Ayers is an active duty reservist with the 85th Support Command and also serves as associate pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Marengo, IL.

A third lapghan was presented to Korean War Veteran, Len Sullivan.
